Professional Profile
Ms. Kane-Williams has more than fifteen years experience in senior management positions within both non-profit and for-profit organizations. Her responsibilities range from fiscal management, strategic planning, target marketing, community outreach, media relations, branding and positioning, program development, and volunteer engagement. Ms. Kane-Williams has maximized her professional experience with a keen focus on the needs of older adults and multicultural communities with particular emphasis on the African American community. Her tenure with AARP began in 1983 when she began her career as a Heath and Long Term Care Manager.
Professional Affiliations &Community Services
Ms. Kane-Williams is a new member to the Board of Trustees, but has been no stranger to Family Matters of Greater Washington. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Foundation Of Chesapeake Region and Northridge Recreation Association. Additionally, she also volunteers with the Legal Counsel for the Elderly. Ms. Kane Williams holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Yale University, a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University, and a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health.
