Camp Moss Hollow

Located in Markham, Virginia, on more than 400 acres of beautiful woods, nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah National Park, Moss Hollow is seventy miles west of Washington, D.C. Affectionately called “The Hollow,” the program provides year-round educational, recreational, and socialization services for children and youths, seven to fourteen years old from the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. This serene environment features miles of hiking and nature trails, rustic cabins, an academic pavilion, large swimming pool, tent camping and a two-acre lake for fishing and canoeing.
Camp Moss Hollow receives generous support from the community through The Washington Post’s Annual Send-a-Kid-to-Camp Campaign to help children from all economic situations enjoy the outdoor experience. For many children “The Hollow” will be their first time away from home and away from the hustle of an urban environment. It is a special place of peace that allows us to Build Future Leaders - Naturally!!
